I have a registered copy of Photoshop 7.?An upgrade version.?I also have a registered full version of Photoshop 4.?Due to a reinstall of my system, I need to reinstall photoshop but am getting some problems installing Photoshop 4.?I'm getting a message saying ''This program requires at least 3 MB of virtual memory to run''.?That prevents me from proceeding with the installation.?Currently, my system has 1.25 Gb of RAM so the virtual memory should not be an issue...?The Photoshop upgrade to 7 requires documentation that the Photoshop 4 is installed so I feel like I'm running into a wall.
I'd appreciate it if anyone out there has an idea of how to resolve this issue.
Photoshop 7 installation issueYour problem is that modern OSs don't play with ancient software.
But firstly, you don't need to install the earlier version to confirm eligibility. You should just need to insert the Version 4 CD during installation and then remove it.
Secondly, version 7 should run, although you may need to run it in compatibility mode. I would say more but you haven't told us your OS!
